葛萊美獎當天晚上，惠妮被拍到和Bobby Brown及女兒一同前往LA一家餐廳用餐，這是惠妮訴請離婚後第一次和巴比一同露面，惠妮氣色不錯，小芭比越來越漂亮，而大巴比顯然還在失意中。前幾天巴比在一則Interview中透露，他與惠妮已經和平分手分道揚鑣，兩人目前仍是朋友，而他最近剛找到一份工作，在一家附設卡拉OK的酒吧餐廳駐唱，他說：「我和餐廳老闆死皮賴臉求到這份工作，即使只唱給五個人或十個人聽，我都無所謂。」

“Extra” caught Whitney out to dinner Sunday night with Bobby at L.A.’s Dan Tanas with daughter Bobbi Kristina and a few friends.

After the check came, Whitney grabbed her man and her doggy bags before heading back to the Beverly Hilton.

An Exclusive Interview With the Original R&B Kang

“She’ll be back.” These are the first words of Bobby Brown when I ask him about Whitney Houston, the mother of his child and soon-to-be ex wife. He’s about to perform a set of his greatest hits at Junebug’s Ribs and Karaoke, and even though he has not graced the stage in quite some time, he’s ready to perform.

“Yeah, I begged and pleaded for a month to get this gig. The atmosphere in this place is great, and I have a great support system here. Not to mention the free ribs I’ll get after the shows.” He’s perky, carefree, and full of life, not what you would expect from a man who’s divorcing a pop goddess.

“Yeah man, the sh** was tough. First my credit cards was cancelled and I had no income. I freaked out hard man. And my lawyer was mumbling something about divorce, but I couldn’t hear her over the sound of my own screaming. But it’s all good now. The chance to perform in front of (looks out into crowd) fives and tens of people is alright wit me.”

Bobby will perform all three of his hits, starting with “My Perogative” and ending with a song people only care about because of his wife “Something In Common.” And for the first time, he’ll perform the whole song as a solo (“I’m a keep pressing my finger against my throat to get that Whitney vibrato”).

“Sang baby, brang down the house!” shouts Shaniqua Johnson, as she fires up ribs in the kitchen. “Don’t forget to sang My Love!” she exclaims, between feverish bouts of gum chewing.

As Bobby takes the stage and slams his donation cup down beside the mic, a fire lights in his eyes. And no, it’s not the usual cocaine-induced sort. He seems focused, determined, a man on a mission…Oh wait, nevermind, it’s the cocaine. Sang Bobby.
